"Mobile Career Center"

Mobile Career Center is the part of the program "Stimulating Youth Employment" funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and implemented by the German Organization for International Cooperation - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Labor the Republic of Serbia.

Project goal: To empower young Roma men and women to make career decisions regarding professional development in accordance with personal interests and potentials, modern needs of the labor market and existing career development opportunities.

Project results: A total of 364 users from 8 municipalities and cities are involved in the activities and measures of Mobile Career Center - Aleksinac, Nis, Doljevac, Leskovac, Lebane, Grdelica, Babusnica, Zajecar.

378 direct beneficiaries were included in the KVIS measures, they had the opportunity to use up to two KVIS measures and after joining these measures, 95 beneficiaries came to their first formal employment.

The training "Path to work" in order to strengthen employment and promote the employability of users of the "Mobile Career Center" was designed by the project team of the RSU and the Inventive Center. The training was implemented in all municipalities covered by the "Mobile Career Center" program, with the participation of 97 young Roma men and women.

Trainings for acquiring qualified skills were realized during the program "Mobile Career Center" for the following professions: plastic welder, cleaner, waiter, hairdresser / pedicurist / manicurist, assistant cook, welder, IT training, caregiver. The training programs covered 38 beneficiaries.

The RSU team conducted a survey on the needs of young Roma men and women at the request of the GIZ-YEP team, and a total of 140 young people participated in the survey.

RSU has established cooperation with other local partners, as well as partners at the regional level in order to promote and implement youth employment.
